Run at London Marathon!
This is really cool!
Through our partnership with Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity a place for London Marathon (on the Saturday) has been given to us at Big Bear to allocate to a deserving runner. Obviously, there are loads of people who want to be at London Marathon, and loads of people who have been amazing for us at Big Bear and for Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity. Picking one person out of the hundreds is near enough impossible so instead we’re going to pick a name out of a hat (digitally of course!).
If you want the chance to be the Big Bear Events advocate on Team Marvellous (Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity fundraising team) at London Marathon on Saturday 24th April 2027 you need to fill out and read the instructions on the form here. This is the chance to get a place at London Marathon with zero fundraising target attached. It goes without saying however that Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity would be very grateful for any fundraising you could do – this is place they have paid for after all.
This might be a complete one-off, this might happen every year, at this stage I’ve no idea either way. It is definitely a unique opportunity though! This isn’t a competition, you can’t buy your way in, this is just a different way for Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity to allocate a place they’ve paid for. They wanted to say thank you to all at Big Bear for our continued support. What a way to do it!
The more you’ve been to our events, the more you’ve volunteered and the more times you’ve donated the more likely you are to get picked out of the hat. I want to reward someone who has really supported us across the last year or so.
