2024 round up part 1 of 274

What a year it’s been.

Without wishing to live in the past it’s the 2020 Big Bear never really had! I’m aware we’ve moved on from Covid times but for events I feel like this is the first complete year I’ve been able to move on. It’s been so great to welcome so many people back to our events. TrailFest Cannock Chase Forest was our biggest ever event with over 350 entrants across the different distances and many of the 6 hour events sold out, finishing at the Dormouse Challenge with one of our biggest entry lists of over 130 – during the day on a Wednesday – great stuff!

I started writing a big rambling post but I’m going to break it down into 4 more smaller blogs. One on each of the event formats and then one full of stats and info and looking forward to 2025. If you’re here for the AI generated highlight sentence here it is.

Big Bear has had a great year and will look to build on it for 2025.
