Virtual Bear Series

The longest year long series has come to a close 28 months later than planned! The Grizzly Bear Challenge was due to be held in October 2020… but we only just had it!!

It did mean that quite a few of those who ran it didn’t run the Panda and Polar Bear Challenges that where part of the series as they were held in 2020 and 2022. Given the medals in the series join up it seemed silly to not offer out the medals that are left as a virtual event to allow you to complete the circle!!

So for a limited time only we’ll be running a virtual big Bear Series with very limited numbers. You can enter for only £5 (including postage) and run your virtual event to complete your set.

As with all Big Bear Events the minimum you need to run is 3.3 miles – if you want to run for 6 hours you can do – or even more..!!! Given it’s being done in homage to the Bear Series at Ryton Pools you get bonus points for doing your running at Ryton Pools, in Bear paraphernalia or if your Strava art is “similar” to the renowned Strava art of our Ryton Pools lap!
